TSL establishes new home at The Pie Factory
Leading broadcast systems integrator TSL is to open an office at MediaCityUK.
The internationally-renowned company is the latest in a long line of media companies to set up home in The Pie Factory.
TSL, who have been working with MediaCityUK developer Peel Media for the past two years, will take space alongside existing tenants including Axon Birch, Toasted Productions, Design 108, Purple Crew, Gallowglass and Lemon Casting.

TSL has been engaged by Peel Media since 2007, providing professional services and overseeing technical decision-making for the MediaCityUK Studio Block. With TSL supplying the equipment and full systems integration services, the initial pre-build of this system is now underway at TSL in Maidenhead and Marlow, together with initial inter-area cabling on-site at the MediaCityUK site itself.
The MediaCityUK Studio Block will include seven high definition television studios, two audio studios (one dedicated to the BBC Philharmonic), and a technical block featuring fully equipped sound and vision control rooms; core post facilities; a central technical area; dressing rooms; make-up rooms; workshops; set storage; and green rooms. The studios and technical block facilities will be available for hire on a flexible, utility basis from the beginning of 2011.
Reflecting the company’s growth, the TSL MediaCityUK office follows close on the heels of the new Middle East regional office established by TSL at Studio City, Dubai.
The Pie Factory is owned and managed by Peel Media and was opened in January 2007. Formerly a food production line, it now accommodates three sound stages taking up over 15,000 sq ft, and also incorporates a full costume department, make-up rooms, dressing rooms, green rooms and office space together with 24/7 security and parking.
