Our ambition is to make MediaCityUK a place for everyone involved in the creative and digital industries – from the major corporate players to the new start-ups.

But this isn’t something we expect to happen overnight. We describe 2011 as the starting point for a long-term journey, which will see MediaCityUK grow organically over time.

In May 2011 the BBC started its move into its new home here at MediaCityUK along with SIS and in October 2011 the University of Salford opened its doors to its new campus.

2012 will see the arrival of ITV and in 2013 Coronation Street will move to a new production base on the Trafford Wharf side of MediaCityUK.

The Pie Factory and The Greenhouse , (referred to as the Media Village) are currently home to over 50 companies offering the ideal solution for small businesses or those who’d merely like to have a presence here at MediaCityUK. Combined they offer a range of flexible and cost-effective office space.

And of course, MediaCityUK hasn’t appeared in isolation – we are part of the already existing Salford Quays community, which to date includes thousands of workers, residents and visitors.
