Press Release

26 November 2013

With a background in broadcasting, as a production manager and a media trainer, Belinda launched Peachy in 2011 with a proposition to create quality digital content for businesses.

Prior to moving into the building Belinda was a member of On The 7th, the private members lounge at The Landing, and recognised that there was already a network of businesses located there that she could tap into.

Belinda moved into The Landing six months ago to benefit from collaborative working with other tenants and shared space users. As a result of the move, she has already seen a business return and is working with another tenant on a corporate production.

Belinda said: “In my role, I don’t need the four walls of a traditional office space to operate. I was attracted to The Landing because I recognised that there was a thriving community of switched on businesses in there that I could work with.

“Collaborative working is the way forward for the digital media sector and being based at The Landing opens up doors of opportunity. Since moving, I have made contacts with new people and I am working on three new business enquiries this month.”

The facility not only enables users to become part of a growing community, but also offers one of the most sought-after addresses in the North West’s media and digital technology industry.

In addition, with shared space facilities becoming increasingly popular in the UK, given that London’s Tech City already hosts a number of sites, there is also the opportunity for tenants to boost revenues. A recent survey* into shared space and co-working found that more than half of freelancers and entrepreneurs reported significant increase in income since joining a shared space facility.

Moreover, the same study showed that freelancers and entrepreneurs benefit from increased business networks, social circles and productivity.

Ann Darby, director of strategic partnerships at The Landing, said: “Our shared space facility allows users to work alongside innovative start-ups and large media and technology companies in ultra-modern surroundings. With the added flexibility of short-term contracts, we are providing the ideal environment for start-up companies to flourish.”

The Landing offers shared space from £50 a month, which includes a prestigious trading address at MediaCityUK, mail collection, phone and voicemail and use of the kitchen space.
