FAQs

  • How will the transport infrastructure cope with all those extra people travelling to Salford Quays?

Phase 1 of MediaCityUK includes a brand new tram terminus, which will bring you right onto the MediaCityUK piazza. This will be in addition to the existing tram stop at Broadway, which already provides Eccles and city centre-bound services every 12 minutes. For drivers, a new link road with the M602 motorway will give you the option of approaching MediaCityUK from either end of Broadway. And for those of you who prefer pedal power, we’re installing around 300 cycle bays at locations around the site.

  • What kind of things will happen on the piazza?

We are having discussions with many organisations who would like to utilise the piazza – and the large screen that will overlook it – for a range of different activities, including sports and cultural events. The size and layout of the space mean it could potentially accommodate up to 4,000 people. Expect to see hear more as we get closer to 2011.

  • How much will it be to rent an office at MediaCityUK?

We have a range of different options available so rents will vary depending on individual requirements. If you’re interested in moving to MediaCityUK, then please visit the Be here section of our site.

  • How much is it costing?

Peel Media’s total investment in Phase 1 of MediaCityUK is in the region of £600 million.
