BEYOND 2025 – Creative Mixer

A FUSION OF CREATIVITY, INNOVATION AND EXPLORATION

Monday 24th November 2025 | 5.30PM – 9.00PM | Hot House, MediaCity

Pushing Boundaries in storytelling, technology and design, Day 00 of BEYOND will celebrate Salford’s next gen of digital artists who are exploring and disrupting to redefine the realms of creative output in the UK.

Hosted by eminent broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake, expect to experience an exciting and inspiring mix of live performances from:

  • BBC 6 music and Reform radio host DJ Sophia Hadji-Michael
  • Get involved and get to know each other with creative workshops from Short Supply and take your place on the infamous polaroid wall with Jamie Lee-Wainman
  • Noelle Nurdin – electronic producer, spatial audio and AV artist pushing the boundaries of live electronic performance through immersive technologies
  • WETRIP – performing as part of the FaT OuT 25 programme and with their live show curated and produced by From the Other
  • Tamsin Middleton – writer and performer ‘Vice Vera’ will give a live performance of Expanded Emotion while showcasing her proto-type stage-wear adorned with addressable LEDs, which responds to her voice. Developed in collab with Jayne Sayer.

As well as hearing first hand from Noelle and Tamsin other speakers will include:

Emma Thompson, Fat Out – Emma will share how Fat Out is working with artists and tech partners to make immersive installations like WETRIP more inclusive, especially for deaf audiences, through haptic floors, spatial audio and creative collaboration.

Garth Williams – Creative Technologist and founder of Safety Catch is the startup on a mission to create connection and community through collaborative story making.

As well as speakers and performers there will be an array of groundbreaking installations where you’ll be invited to explore, engage and connect with digital and non-digital artists alike.

Complementary drinks and Nell’s pizza will also be provided at this celebration of creativity.

A visual arts installation. His painting ‘I want you here’ will be re-staged and re-explored through his collaboration with Lizzie King whose footage of local environments is projected onto its surface.

A visual art and sound installation delivered in collaboration with Sara Wolff. The space promotes sensory calm and inclusion through thoughtful design and sound.
