ISG has announced its move to MediaCityUK as it eyes growth for its North West business.
The construction services business, which employs 2,800 people across the globe, will relocate its Manchester office to the Tomorrow Building in March.
The move follows several senior appointments in the region, including Paul Munro as regional director for the North West and Paul Cook, who takes up the role of senior business development manager.
“We are in an incredibly strong position in the North West, and expect to turnover £80 million, across our offices in Manchester and Liverpool, this year, growing to over £100 million by 2022,” says Paul Munro.
ISG is currently delivering some of the North West’s most high-profile projects, including the £13 million, 114-bed Corn Exchange hotel project and the £39 million mixed-use hotel and student accommodation regeneration scheme at Liverpool Lime Street.
“We have established a strong reputation as an innovative and technology-led contractor across the public and private sectors, with a high-profile presence on the North West Construction Hub (NWCH). We are currently delivering a £25 million programme of schools for Manchester City Council through the Hub. This has already seen us handover two successful projects, with a further seven currently in planning, or on site, through this important public sector framework,” added Paul.
The move will see ISG leave Exchange Quay, its base for the last ten years, taking up circa 8,500 square feet of open plan and flexible space at MediaCityUK.
“We have delivered a number of projects at MediaCityUK over the last five years, and have closely watched and admired the transformation of this area under the stewardship of Peel Media. It was therefore an easy decision to relocate to the Tomorrow Building and MediaCityUK, as a thriving hub and the perfect place to support our ambitious regional growth strategy.”
Stephen Wild, Managing Director of MediaCityUK, said: “We’re delighted to welcome ISG to MediaCityUK where the company is perfectly aligned to work alongside the creative, digital and tech industries.”
The Manchester and Liverpool offices form part of ISG’s wider UK Construction North & Scotland business, which is headed up by regional managing director Andy McLinden, with additional office locations in Bradford and Glasgow. This business currently has a turnover in excess of £200 million and employs almost 300 people.
