UP Ventures launches GM future health challenge
UP Ventures have announced the launch of a new Greater Manchester Future of Health Challenge to be based at The Landing@MediaCityUK, with partners including MediaCityUK, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Salford Digital, Health Innovation Manchester, Novartis, Push Doctor, Google, and Apadmi.
The challenge is designed for health-tech entrepreneurs and the 12-week accelerator programme – in three phases – will be delivered by expert coaches and practitioners.
There are three focus areas:
- Solutions that improve the experience of those with Dementia and/or Frailty
- Solutions allowing primary care and outpatient services to be delivered in or near the home for patients
- Innovations to allow Digital Nudges to improve Prevention and Public Health
“This is a fantastic opportunity to gain unrivaled access to the HealthTech ecosystem in the GM area through our close partnerships with industry, the NHS and intelligent, engaged investors. Unlike other accelerators, our programme is free for the participants. We’re not looking for cash or equity – just highly committed teams with the potential to really make an impact.”
Danny Meaney, CEO of UP Ventures.
Applications are open until 4th July 2019, with successful candidates informed by 12th August 2019
