University of Salford journalism student wins prestigious RTS Award
A graduate who animated a 10-year-old refugee’s story to bring the issues behind immigration to life for young children has won a prestigious journalism award.
After 13 years in central Manchester, co-directors Jon McQuillan and Andy Heggs have relocated their team of designers and developers to MediaCityUK to be closer to key clients including The Peel Group, BBC and Sage, as well as sister company Wink Nudge, the mobile and HTML 5 game specialists.
The move by the award-winning design agency coincides with its rebrand from Drumbeat Creative to simply Drumbeat to reflect the growing number of digital projects it has been commissioned to do with recent account wins including the NHS, Kaplan and BUPA.
