MediaCity leads support for Digital Cities Festival

MediaCity is delighted to announce it is on board as a headline partner of this year’s Digital City Festival.

The annual event series, which will be returning to Manchester from 15 to 19 April, features a series of anchor and fringe events to bring together the digital and tech sectors from the North and beyond.

Stephen Wild, Managing Director at MediaCity, said: “As a hub for the creative, digital and tech sector and the home for future media in the North of England, we’re delighted to be the lead supporter of this year’s Digital City Festival.”

He added: “We’re looking forward to seeing industry professionals from across MediaCity and beyond come together to celebrate and learn all the fantastic developments and opportunities this sector brings and how wider industries such as health, finance and even fashion can benefit.”

As the excitement for the festival builds, Prolific North will be hosting an exclusive roundtable for the media, broadcast and production industries on 8 February.

Hosted at MediaCity’s Orange Tower, this collaborative event will unite key figures in the broadcast industry to examine the challenges and opportunities the sector is facing, plus addressing how we can all best work together to advance the Northern broadcasting and media sectors.

Wild added: “As the ultimate home of content creation, we’re also particularly excited to be hosting the Made in the North roundtable which will shine a light on the broadcasting industry in the North and how we can build and sustain this dynamic sector for the long term.”

This event is invite only, but if you’d like to express your interest in attending please do reach out to our team via hello@prolificnorth.co.uk.

The important topics emerging from this roundtable will feed into one of our exciting anchor events, Made in the North Summit and exhibition, hosted at MediaCity during Digital City Festival Week on 16 April.
