Dock10, one of the UK’s leading television facilities and post-production houses, has a new name: MediaCity Studios and MediaCity Post, respectively.
The move comes as part of MediaCity’s new strategic vision under the progressive leadership of new CEO Alice Webb and owners Landsec, as they look to evolve MediaCity to a creative brand in its own right.

In the 15 years since it opened, MediaCity Studios and MediaCity Post (formerly dock10) has gained a reputation as a first-choice production partner for global names including the BBC, ITV and Netflix, as well as leading production houses such as Magnum, Whisper TV, Quay Street Productions and Wall to Wall. It has also achieved widespread recognition for its commitment to innovation, particularly in virtual production.
MediaCity is currently acting as the nerve centre for delivery of the BBC’s FIFA World Cup coverage. It’s the first time the Beeb’s studio operations have been remote for the tournament and with – the first-time studio operations have been the tournament have been covered remotely by the broadcaster and with post production now in HDR, another example of the facility’s excellence in sports production.
The MediaCity Studios and MediaCity Post teams are delivering a highly-complex solution for the BBC that combines multi-tracked cameras with in-studio LED screens and multiple virtual studio environments, together with high volume, fast-turnaround post-production in HDR. This cutting edge set up is built on a deep eight year partnership with BBC Sport across the likes of Match of the Day, Champions League and UEFA European Championships.
