As an exciting trailer for this year’s Manchester Science Festival which is taking place 20th to 30th October, Tim Peake will be coming to the MediaCityUK piazza at 2pm on 15th October to talk about his six-month mission living aboard the International Space Station.
Open to the general public and free to attend, the event will take place on the steps of the MediaCityUK piazza and will be live streamed to the nearby large screen where Tim will be answering questions from audience members about his epic space mission earlier this year.
Tim’s appearance is part of a seven-date UK tour organised by the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency.
Tim said: “I’ve been extremely touched by the support of the British public before, during and after the Principia mission. I hope that my post-flight tour will allow me to thank as many of those people as possible for being a part of my mission to the International Space Station.”
Stephen Wild, Managing Director of MediaCityUK said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming Tim Peake and his team to MediaCityUK for this very rare and exciting event. It’s is a brilliant opportunity for people of all ages to get inspired by a first-hand account of his adventures.”
