Box on the Docks announce summer partnership with the Spinn

Popular Manchester burger restaurant The Spinn has been announced as the latest residency to take over MediaCityUK’s unique dining and arts experience Box on The Docks.

Popular Manchester burger restaurant The Spinn has been announced as the latest residency to take over MediaCityUK’s unique dining and arts experience Box on The Docks.

Headed up by co-owners Adam Thomas of Emmerdale and I’m a Celeb fame and Scott Graham who is a well-known face within Manchester’s popular street food scene, ‘The Spinn at Box on the Docks’ will run from the 1st July to 8th August, initially opening Thursdays to Sundays before extending to seven days.

Located in the MediaCityUK gardens, diners can look forward to enjoying tasty street food within their own completely unique and art-adorned greenhouse setting. The onsite team will be serving up The Spinn’s mouth-watering selection of burgers, including the now famous ‘BURN-ham’ featuring Oh My Glaze’s well known Scotch Bonnet sauce, as well as signature BOTD cocktails, a brand-new brunch menu and child friendly options for the whole family.

Adam Thomas, co-owner of The Spinn added:

“Lockdown was definitely a shock to the system but we’re back again and here we are opening a pop-up residency at Box on the Docks.

We’re thrilled to be spending time in this thriving place with the BBC and ITV so close by, and while I’m flipping burgers I can even see Coronation Street just across the way so I’ll give them a little wave. This is what we got into the restaurant industry for, to see people happy and to make great food.”

In preparation for another busy season of outdoor dining, local artists have returned to re-vamp BOTD’s collection of 30 sheds and greenhouses to create a fresh, summer vibe to the quirky private dining pods set within MediaCityUK’s award winning gardens.

15 greenhouses will be available to book from 12pm to 8pm for up to six people, with additional benches and deck chairs also on offer for walk ins. In addition, a takeaway service will be running throughout.

The Spinn partnership is the first of a programme of summer residencies marking another exciting milestone for BOTD, which since launching last year to help support local artists and the hospitality industry through the pandemic, has grown from to strength to strength – safely attracting thousands of diners throughout last summer.

Josie Cahill MediaCityUK Place Director said:

“We’re really excited to welcome The Spinn to Box on the Docks as not only will they be offering even more delicious choice for our visitors but Adam and Scott have a real fan base here and will bring a celebrity buzz to our growing hospitality offer.”
