MediaCityUK strengthens its cast with Red 13
MediaCityUK is opening its doors to fresh, young talent with the addition of brand new casting agency, Red 13 Management.
The talent management company represents over 200 young performers and is now looking to expand its books, taking on adult actors as well, seeking roles in TV, films, commercials and stage productions.
Founders, Lauren Shippey and Freddie Bolt have been running 13 Performing Arts schools based in Manchester and Leeds since 2013, in partnership with Coronation Street star, Jack P Shepherd. Red 13 is based in MediaCityUK’s serviced offices, Orega, in Blue Tower.
Commenting on the new venture, Freddie said: “Our performing arts schools have been really popular, and a talent management company seemed like the natural next step for offering our students a way into the industry.
“MediaCityUK is the ideal location for our casting agency, as we already have a close working relationship with casting directors and producers at ITV, the BBC and CBBC who are based here, so this gives us great access to them, as well as putting our students at the centre of the industry.”
