Rejected Rice Krispies and Coco Pops become the latest ‘upcycled’ alcoholic tipple
Kellogg’s has teamed up with Salford brewery, Seven Bro7hers, to turn its ‘less-than-perfect’ Rice Krispies and Coco Pops into beer.
Owners Davinia Hamilton-Maddox and Chris Gibson co-founded Phoenix Digital in February 2016, combining over 20 years’ industry experience to deliver a no-nonsense approach to digital marketing. The pair launched the Manchester agency in The Greenhouse, MediaCityUK, adding to the hub’s diverse and thriving mix of start-up businesses.
Former director and owner of digital agency, sevenpointsix, Chris Gibson ran his own successful business for the last 11 years and prior to that, worked for McCann i – the digital arm of McCann Ericsson. Chris heads up web development and technical capability for Phoenix Digital.
Chris joined forces with Davinia Hamilton-Maddox, an entrepreneur with a full service marketing background, plus agency experience at various major companies including TBWA, Connectpoint, Gyro Manchester and Clock Creative. Davinia’s focus within Phoenix Digital is on advising and managing digital marketing projects for clients.
Commenting on the launch of Phoenix Digital, Davinia said: “The online landscape is instrumental in connecting brands with their audiences, and the way we do this for our clients is both simple and effective. We follow a carefully considered process to establish what our clients want, which we then use to create amazing, digital experiences and deliver strong returns on investment.”
She continued: “The beauty of being based in The Greenhouse is that we are neighbours with a lot of like-minded enterprises so there is the chance to collaborate and really be part of the creative mix at MediaCityUK.”
Phoenix Digital’s client portfolio includes Joseph Holt Brewery, Rosewood Pet Products, Diane Harrison Designs, Calderdale College, Russell & Russell Solicitors, EEB (European Environmental Bureau) and US learning company Skillsoft. The agency has recently begun working with Argos to help them strengthen the online after-sales customer experience.
Managing director of MediaCityUK, Stephen Wild added: “Phoenix Digital is an exciting new start-up agency in Manchester and we are delighted that they have chosen MediaCityUK as their launchpad. They join a growing community of expanding creative and digital enterprises which collaborate and share knowledge in a way that isn’t as easy in other working spaces. The Greenhouse is thriving and we are excited for Phoenix Digital to be part of the story.”

We’ve launched a new brand identity and set our aspirations for the next decade to mark the 10th anniversary of the first broadcast to come from Salford’s creative, tech and digital destination.
With a growing number of local, family run eateries expanding to MediaCityUK it’s no surprise that the latest ‘one to watch’ independent to pop-up at MediaCityUK this summer is the deliciously creative Bada Bing Sandwich Deli.
