This August, Box on the Docks presents the Family Weekender celebration marking the end of the Summer on 20 and 21 August. The event boasts a whole host of fun with a weekend filled with giant lawn games including family favourites such as; Jenga, Connect 4 and Dominoes. Challenge your family to a competitive game or just sit back and enjoy the music with free entertainment from kids entertainers, musicians, craft activities and storytelling with the Salford Literacy Trail.

About this event
Saturday 20th August – 12 until 4pm
- Facepainting with Clowns and Dolls Facepainting; 12-4pm
- Born to be Wild Child will be hosting a DJ set, they will have a giant 2m family colouring mural, colouring activities, bubbles, giant parachute dance and punch balloons between 2-4pm
- Pirate themed treasure hunt with Kidzrus MediaCity; 12-4pm
- Storytelling with Salford Literacy Trail ; 2-3pm
- Giant lawn games
Sunday 21st August – 12 until 4pm
- Facepainting provided by Clowns and Dolls; 12- 4pm
- Entertainment from Louby Lou the Clown; 1-3pm
- Pirate themed treasure hunt with Kidzrus Nursery; 12 – 4pm
- Storytelling with Salford Literacy Trail; 3-4pm

The perfect opportunity to bring your kids to Box on the Docks… Adults can pull up some deck chairs, grab a bite to eat and drink, then just sit back and relax whilst watching the kids be entertained for hours with fun and FREE activities.
