MediaCityUK secures deal with RSVP Media Response in Digital World Centre

Leading UK call centre, RSVP Media Response, has signed a three-year deal to occupy 5,000 sq ft of office space in the Digital World Centre, MediaCityUK.

The only contact centre to be staffed entirely by actors, RSVP is opening its first northern headquarters in the Digital World Centre on Thursday 27th October 2016. Expanding its 370-seat base in London Docklands by employing an additional 50 agents at MediaCityUK, RSVP forecasts it will grow to 150 within the first year of northern operations.

The Digital World Centre is a Grade A, mixed-use building, located adjacent to the Lowry Outlet at MediaCityUK. It offers stunning views across MediaCityUK and is close to both the Metrolink stop and a wide range of nearby amenities. The distinctive building provides over 72,000 sq.ft of office space and onsite car parking.

Mark Abernethy, Managing Director, RSVP Media Response, said: “MediaCityUK is such a great place for us to be situated in the north. It’s a vibrant and creative environment and it suits us perfectly to be so close to The Lowry Theatre, BBC North, ITV, and the Coronation Street set. It will be great to have so many casting directors close by and they in turn will have easy access to our pool of actors, should they need to fill last-minute castings. This is the perfect location for our actor agents, and also for our business growth”.

Mark Robinson, Head of Asset Management, MediaCityUK, said: “As work commences on phase two of MediaCityUK and the site is set to double in size over the next ten years, we are keen to welcome thriving companies such as RSVP which will support our vision for growth and development. The Digital World Centre continues to attract exciting market leaders, and the addition of RSVP is particularly complementary, as its unique offering is an ideal fit with other media industry businesses at MediaCityUK.”

James Dickinson, director at Canning O’Neill, agents for the scheme, said: “Thanks to the quality of accommodation available and its prime location in MediaCityUK, Digital World Centre continues to provide first class space for businesses that are looking to be part of this dynamic area of Salford Quays.”

As well as housing its call centre at Digital World Centre, the northern division of RSVP will provide a base for the company’s in-house theatrical agency, RSVP Artists. Running in tandem with the call centre, RSVP Artists actively looks for performance roles for its agency staff.

RSVP, now 28 years old, is enjoying exceptional year on year growth. The turnover in 2016 is forecast to be 14 million, rising to 15.5 million in 2017.
