Keep It Usable has won a competitive pitch to transform the user experience of the SIS Infinite Racing Games platform.
We are so grateful for the passion and commitment of the partners, community groups and everyone that has worked so hard to put on this incredibly special event and we look forward to announcing a new date for the festival very soon.
Despite postponing the full festival programme, we firmly believe that in moments of national significance, it’s important to create an opportunity for the community to come together. Participants of The Weekend Orchestra are still encouraged to come together to rehearse from 10am and we invite you to watch the performance, together with the BBC Philharmonic at 12.30pm – 1pm Saturday and Sunday in the MediaCity Piazza. The BBC Philharmonic will open with a performance of The National Anthem followed by a minute’s silence, and The Weekend Orchestra musicians will join to play an original piece.
In line with their usual weekend programming, The Lowry will also have participatory family activities and performances in their building and on the Plaza, please see the website for further details. Street food traders (including Box on the Docks), market stalls, and existing food and drink operators will be open and available over the weekend
A book of condolences will be available for those visiting MediaCity and The Quays over the weekend. We will also show the King’s Accession on the big screen at MediaCity, which is being televised for the first time.
