
Urban Car Spa brings premier service to MediaCityUK
A unique waterless hand car wash and valeting facility, staffed by veterans from the armed forces, has joined the ranks at MediaCityUK.
dock10, the UK’s leading television facility, based in MediaCityUK has launched a new website, www.TheStudios.co.uk to keep television fans informed about what’s happening in The Studios and how they can join the audience of some of the UK’s biggest shows. Around 200,000 people a year visit The Studios to take a tour or to watch shows being recorded. These include family favourites such as Countdown, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, The Voice, Let it Shine and Judge Rinder.
The new website lists all of the programmes being recorded in The Studios and provides details on how to book a studio tour and apply for free tickets to join the audience of some shows. There is even a dedicated @TheStudios Twitter feed to keep everyone up to date.

Award-winning business Formisimo, the start-up that uses technology to personalise and enhance online shopping experiences, has seen a huge response to their unique business offering and has grown from 2 to 14 employees and trebled the size of their office space from 420 sq ft to over 2000 sq ft – in little over two years.
The Landing, MediaCityUK’s digital and tech enterprise hub, has announced details of its autumn business support programme which is open to any Greater Manchester start-up, scale-up or SME. All of them are either free or are fully funded for qualifying businesses and will cover key issues such as apprenticeships, remote working, business development and raising investment.
As schools finish and many families are set for a staycation this Summer, MediaCityUK is supporting the national ‘Summer of Play’ campaign to get children outside, working with partners including the RHS, Lancashire Cricket Ground and The Lowry to bring a host of free activities for families throughout August.
